THE RIDICULIST: Shaken To The Core

Anderson did an early morning appearance Monday on Fox 13, Tampa Bay, before heading to NOLA.

Joan Rivers gave Benderson a little shout out on Fashion Police last weekend:

And in Snooki news this from Goddoss:

Hours after giving birth to Lorenzo "Enzo" Dominic LaValle on Sunday morning, Snooki (real name: Nicole Polizzi) gave Cooper a Twitter shout-out in appreciation for the present he sent. "Thank u so much. Just got ur gift!" she wrote. "We love you, Mr.Anderstand!" So what did Cooper send the 24-year-old first-time mom: A leopard-print Onesie? Baby tanning lotion? A jar of specialty pickles? None of the above.

Cooper's gift was in fact a sweet one. He sent Snooki two dozen cannolis from Carlo's Bakery in Hoboken, New Jersey, a rep for his daytime show, "Anderson Live," tells omg! exclusively. The famed bakery is featured on the TLC reality show "Cake Boss," which centers on Buddy Valastro and his family of tasty treat makers.

I really liked tonite's 360,one of the best I've seen in a while. It had a good mix of stories and moved at a fast pace. Some nites it seems to really drag and move slow.

The Ridiculist was funny, especially when Anderson was bouncing in his chair.

A good 360 Friday night. I'm glad Anderson started with Isaac news from Louisiana and Mississippi. Scary stuff even though Isaac was only a category one. Everybody did a good job. The only thing missing was a map showing where the levee was topped, where the fragile dam is located, etc. Did 360 show a map and I just didn't see it?

I missed most of the political stuff (in the kitchen fixing a late supper). Came back in time to see the segment on Clint Eastwood. After a few words from the panel, I loved it when Andeson said, "I want to play a little more of the speech, performance, whatever it was." Eastwood totally upstaged Romney last night and not in a good way.

The Ridiculist was back! Anderson had fun making fun of the exercise videos; I just wish he would have added a clip of the woman who exercises by lifting her incredibly mellow cat.

It was sweet of Anderson to send Snooki flowers. Perhaps making up for ridiculing her in the past?

A good 360 studio show. I prefer Anderson in the field, but know that's not going to happen all the time. I do wish he could have stayed in the Gulf area a couple more days to tell the stories himself, but he did a good job with using the correspondents on AC360. I'm sure CNN wanted him at the convention last night.

Thought both political segments were good. For once he pushed back on Mary Matalin and Paul actually got to explain his point of view. Plus Anderson had some great facial expressions during the discussion.

I really enjoyed Andrew Sullivan's take on things and was happy he was in the studio with Anderson. Sullivan made some really good points and I especially liked Sullivan's last point about how Romney-Ryan's policies are inconsistent with church teachings on taking care of the less fortunate.

@Jaanza - Anderson didn't send Snooki flowers - Cannoli's are a sweet pastry - and I have a feeling the talk show sent them on 'Anderson's' behalf (most likely Terence) since they were from a bakery featured on one of his TLC reality shows. I wouldn't be surprised if Anderson, himself, learned about it when Snooki tweeted him. Can we say publicity for 'Anderson Live' and Terence's TLC show all rolled into one?

It was a nice change watching Anderson challenge Mary Matalin's statements a bit more than he normally does--AC showing his exasperation with Begala and Matalin was funny. Maybe Ari's next?

The pundits were looking at the Clint Eastwood mess from the perspective of how it would affect Romney's campaign, but I saw it as disrespectful and insulting with Eastwood literally talking down to the President Obama--Eastwood may be a senile old fool, but he knew what he was implying and so did the audience--nasty, nasty people.

I was a little surprised that Joan Rivers would take on Benderson, she seems to be friendly with AC and his friends don't usually go there, even though it wasn't particularly malicious.

Loved the Ridiculist.

@Jenn - ACK!!! When I saw "cannoli" in the article I pictured the white odd-shaped flowers called calla lilies. Don't know hoe I got them mixed up, cannoli is good to eat and calla lilies are not good to eat.

Ah, good ole Andrew Sullivan.
Wasn't he the one who devised how Anderson would "come out?"
Oh, I forgot, it was Anderson who devised how he would 'come out.'
And yes, Clint may be old, but he is no fool and he certainly was talking down to the President.
Maybe his disrespect is showing because he knows some jobless public servants, who no longer have collective bargaining rights and retirees who no longer have cost of living increases because the POTUS never showed up to support them.
Where was he when they faced off with Scott Walker? Oh, on twitter.
