THE RIDICULIST: Wolf's New Glasses

There was a brief mention of Benderson on Friday night's 20/20 on ABC.

Anderson's name came up in a Today Show interview this morning with buddy Andy Cohen. Take a look:

Another of Anderson's speaking engagement in Florida has been cancelled. This one was in and scheduled for September 22nd. Again 'unforeseen circumstances' were sighted as the reason.

Last week we reported that his September 23rd appearance at the Straz Center in Tampa was also cancelled for the same reason.

Anderson must hate that his personal life keeps getting brought up. He worked so hard for so many years to keep it personal and now it doesn't seem to be personal anymore.

Loved The RidicuList, it was one of the funnier ones.

All these cancelations are not a good sign.
Can't he pack the venue?
What does 'unforeseen circumstances' mean exactly or is he afraid of being asked publically about his admission?

Andy seemed a little caught off guard but I really don't think there's a romantic relationship between Anderson and Andy.
Andy Cohen has been upfront about his friendship with Anderson.
He was with him as far back as Katrina....but now that Anderson has come out, there will be questions.

A pretty good 360. I'm glad the first story wasn't about the campaign; Anderson had a great discussion with Sanjay Gupta and Kenny Specht. It's about time these cancers were covered for the 9/11 first responders.

The best part of the show was the 'What Keeps You Up At Night' segment. An excellent in-depth look at one issue and its political ramifications. Everybody involved here did a great job.

I think the report on the Chicago teachers strike was good, not really sure. When I saw the video of the kids watching TV instead of going to school all I could think was 'why doesn't a grown-up there read a book to them' and 'if it's too dangerous to go outside except just for school, is it also too dangersou to go to the library?' I'm being mean, I know.

Can Isah be an 'Anderson' co-host?

Cute doggies in The Shot. Awwwww.

The Ridiculist was pretty good. I actually liked Wolf's old glasses better.

360 had a different feel to it, a different pace which was kind of nice. I was also glad to see Isha back.

Back around 2004-2005 Anderson would have lots of speaking engagements and many would sell out or the free ones would have a full house but there were also frequent cancellations--I remember this because I used to wonder why he'd schedule these lectures only to cancel them or have them be cancelled so often. I don't know if he's canceling these latest lectures for reasons of his own or if it's just low ticket sales or whatever, but it's not a new development.

Andy Cohen seemed very taken aback and a little pissed off that Kathy and Hoda would ask him about AC--I guess after all these years of not being questioned about AC's personal life, his friends don't know how to react or are still not really expecting any questions about that? It was bound to happen but it still feels a little weird to me to see Anderson's personal life discussed outside of Gawker or other online gossip sites or whatever, but that's how it goes now.

So do we know if these unforeseen circumstances are on Anderson's part or on the venue that was to have him? I hope they are not canceling because he came out. That would be such a shame.

Thank you

Andy Cohen brought Anderson up in the interview.
Maybe he should have just said he went to the event and let the women speculate.
Anderson really didn't have to reveal anything.
He made a choice and now he has to live with the choice he made.

On the anniversary of 9/11, Nicey Nash as co-host is inappropriate.
Anderson should have done what Jon Stewart has done so many times....introduced some of the first responders to the trade center.
Where is this man's manners?
This just says to me, people who watch tv during the day, don't listen or care about the news or that is exactly what Anderson's producers think.

@anonymous 9:36, Go back and listen this time to the Andy Cohen clip. He does not bring up Anderson. He simply said he saw Madonna in concert over the weekend. Hoda & Kathy Lee brought up Anderson.

@anonymous 9:40, Anderson spent a lot of time tonight and last night covering 9/11 on 360, as he should have. We just don't see how not covering it on daytime means he has bad manners.
