Anderson, "We're in Hoboken New Jersey, just across the river from Manhadden..." I've noticed that little pronunciation twist a lot these last few days.
My house is in a neighborhood that still gets a lot of trick-or-treaters so I couldn't pay real close attention to 360. What I saw was very good, everybody is doing an awesome job with Sandy.
Of course if I was in charge of 360 production I would add more maps (you knew I was going to say that).
Did everyone see the Getty Image picture of Manhatten that was shown in the middle of a commercial break at exactly half past the hour? Beautiful night shot showing Manhatten from the New Jersey side, maybe from 60th Street to 20th Street with the Empire State Building in the middle. Lots of light on the left side, sheer darkness on the right. It was on screen for 7 or 8 seconds, no audio, then just disappeared into a commercial. I was hoping to see it again when 360 came back but they never showed that photo again.
Given what Brian Todd said in the afternoon about the water, Anderson shouldn't be picking up floating photos with his bare hands.
Bad joke my DH found: New York City decided to dress up like New Orleans this Halloween.
Jaanza
Anderson really has done great coverage in the afternoon and evening. Yes, I really do love how he says manhadden, kidden, budden. It is so cute.
The reports of the people who were killed during the storm was really sad.
@Jaanza: Your DH has a funny sense of humor. I'm sorry. I laughed.
@9:32AM: No, that's not funny when a grown man who reads a teleprompter for a living, doesn't care enough to pronounce words correctly.
Even children of eight, learn the sound of t and not d.
If Anderson's linguistic problem is that bad, that it can't be corrected, and it can, he shouldn't be reading the news.
Sorry, that's no laughing matter.
