ANDERSON

The segments on Edward Snowden and the NSA were very good. The only exception was giving airtime to the neighbor who "occasionally" saw Snowden. Toobin was great, calling Snowden "an expert in precisely nothing", "he doesn't have the right to undermine the work of others" and "he was irresponsible". Totally right that there were better ways for Snowden to handle his dislike of the work he was doing. It was also interesting to hear from Baer that 50% of the CIA work is done by contractors.
How perfect was it to get Julian Assange to talk about this situation?
Somewhere in the George Zimmerman segment Anderson asked Martin Savidge if the identity of the jurors will be protected. At first I thought that was a dumb question, a 'well, DUH!' question but then I thought maybe Anderson is asking as a viewer surrogate, asking questions some viewers might have. I can only imagine the media hounding the Zimmerman jurors will get after the case is over.
I liked Anderson's Chewbacca impression after the Bulletin.
Because of a little family drama, I couldn't pay much attention to the Santa Monica shooting segments.
However, I did see the Ridiculist and agree it's really ridiculous to have a toddler hyped up on caffeine and sugar. Maybe it's *necessary* for the pageants but in the long run it's such a bad idea. I'd love it if "Toddlers and Tiaras" did a update show on a few of their earlier contestants. Or ten years from now, little Alexis, "The LIttlest Coffee Drinker".
Jeffrey Toobin has Twitter and the blogosphere all riled up because of his stance on Snowden--he was on fire on AC360 and made a lot of good points. Although I have lots of problems with Julian Assange and Glen Greenwald, the AC360 bookers have been on the ball and haven't had to settle for also-rans to cover the NSA story. I don't think we've heard the last of this, no matter which side you happen to come down on.
