This is typical Anderson and typical CNN. Get a survivor to tell the gruesome afermath of a story and then sell it to the public over and over and over, until we don't care.
I really used to think CNN and Anderson really wanted to get the story out, not just this story, but whatever he was covering and do the best job he could....and in the beginning, like Katrina, that was the case.
Now it's ratings, ratings, ratings, and overplay your hand.
I hope I'm never in the position to be part of a breaking news event or tragedy because I know one thing for sure: Anderson Cooper would NOT get my story.

Another great all-encompassing post. I couldn't watch the special when it aired but these clips and pics help fill in the gaps.

With all due respect for Ms. Halet-Davis, I am having an issue with the Special Program Trailer of seeing Ms. Halet-Davis screaming hysterically at a 4th of July fireworks event in her community. She was indoors and her husband dialed "911", asking the operator to stop it. Seems staged to me. Cameras just happened to be there at this precise moment?.....Granted, Ms. Halet-Davis states she has PTSD, but did anyone think of using earplugs to help ease her anxiety? Something just doesn't pass the smell test for me.
