Thanks, ATA, for the videos of Anderson on Kelly's show this morning. I can't watch them on this computer but will be able to see them this evening.

Tuesday's 360 - At first I was glad to see Anderson cover politics and this was indeed Breaking News. House Majority Leader Eric Cantor losing the Virginia primary to Tea Party opponent Dave Brat was so unexpected that the political pundits were nowhere near the 360 or any CNN studio. Anderson talked to Gloria Borger, David Gergen, John King, Newt Gingrich and Jake Sherman by phone.
Over on MSNBC, the head honchos interrupted a Hayes report on gun violence to have Maddow cover the news on Cantor for a half-hour. And when Hayes was back he spent the rest of his hour talking about Cantor and Brat.
Oddly, at :28 after, MSNBC had live coverage of Cantor's concession speech but on CNN it was Gergen blathering on. Cantor's speech was never shown.

Anderson spent half of the second segment reporting on the Portland OR school shooting - one boy shot by another boy - and Sara Sidner reported from the scene. Then more on Cantor.

I don't know if Cantor's loss is going to be such a big deal in the long run. Maybe years from now political historians can say it was a huge leap ahead for the Tea Party. Or maybe Brat will lose in November and years from now this primary will not be considered of any importance.

Always love when AC is on with Kelly.

On Wednesday's 360, I didn't want to listen to any more analysis about the Eric Cantor defeat, so I skipped it. Anderson's interview with the Texas GOP rep who supports reparstive therapy for gays held my attention--AC couldn't have been more clear on how discredited and damaging this type of therapy is, but the Tex rep wasn't going to let go of his bigoted theories and ideas. How awful of the Texas GOP to have gay conversion as part of their party platform but good for Anderson for putting the real facts out there.

I was hoping there would be a mention of how the Republicans blocked legislation that would've eased the student loan debt burden and news about the deal the Senate reached to improve the VA system, but there was nothing in the bulletin on either story. 360's Bulletin could stand some tweaking--at least put some REAL news in there sometimes.
