One of the segments was an interview with Charles M. Blow.  Mr. Blow wrote an OpEd in the NYT about the incident of his son, a Yale student, being held by campus police at gunpoint and discussed it with Anderson on AC360.

Anderson Cooper Doesn't Like To Wear A Hat On TV!

Anderson Cooper was again on a balcony of the Time Warner Center anchoring an expanded two hour edition of AC360.   Better the balcony than the "Blizzardmobile!"   Here are a few of the lighter moments and an overview.

Concern over Anderson's refusal to wear a hat was a topic again tonight.  There were a few options offered by Chad Meyers and then Anderson wore the "Pipi Longstocking" option for a minute or so:

At the end of Randi Kaye's live shot from CT Anderson asked her if she had stolen her coat from a Yeti.  While the talk was about the size of Randi's coat, CBS and ABC reported a Yeti sighting in Boston today.  Wonder if Charlie Moore saw those reports?

Anderson Cooper Anchors In The Snow!

Anderson Cooper anchored an expanded edition of AC360 from a balcony outside the Time-Warner Center tonight.  He asked Erin Burnett during the toss if he could borrow her hat as he forgot his.  During the closing segment he appeared in a hat and tweeted the following.

FYI - Mr. Cooper was photographed in that hat this fall and Newsies closed on Broadway this past August.  Not that witty Twitter posts have to be true, but it does make us wonder if Anderson shoveled the sidewalk in front of his firehouse three times today as he claimed during the broadcast.   Anderson did admit to Chad Meyers that he would have preferred to have been inside and Chad busted him for walking outside at 8PM just prior to air and saying it wasn't that cold out while Chad had been outside most of the day.   By the end of the two hour broadcast Anderson did admit it was cold out.  Now the question remains, did he get a ride home from Ashleigh Banfield who was anchoring from the streets of NYC in a CNN vehicle that had permission to be on the streets.   Maybe we'll find out the answer to that tomorrow during tomorrow night's weather forecast for the Northeast!

Anderson Cooper At Celebrity Forum Speakers Series

Anderson was in Cupertino, CA for the Celebrity Forum Speakers Series at Foothill-De Anza Community College.  After anchoring AC360 from a local studio Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights, he was the featured speaker for the evening.  Several people tweeted each night and some posted photos to Twitter and Instagram:

Anderson Cooper Anchors AC360 From An "Undisclosed" Location

We reported last night that Anderson Cooper is scheduled to be the speaker at the "Celebrity Forum" in Cupertino, CA each of the next three nights.  Given the time difference, Anderson is able to anchor AC360 and make the speaking engagements by anchoring from a local studio.  While his coloring wasn't as "orange" as it was from the LA bureau studio Monday night, it was definitely different than the NYC studio.

TV Newser broke the news today about Anderson hosting a political game show?!

CNN to Produce Political Game Show

First on TVNewser: CNN is producing a political game show, TVNewser has learned. The blocking and testing of the show is happening this week at CNN’s New York studios.

Insiders tell us the show will be hosted by Anderson Cooper and will air on Presidents’ Day, Feb. 16. If it’s successful, further episodes would go into production.

We hear the program will be a quiz style game show, focused on presidential politics.

As the Sony email hacking story unfolded last month, one of the more interesting TV news stories to emerge was that CNN Worldwide chief Jeff Zucker had asked a Sony TV executive if the company would consider producing “Political Jeopardy!” for CNN.

That was a nonstarter. But now it appears Zucker is going his own way on a quiz show.

Anderson Cooper - LA to DC to Cupertino ?

After anchoring AC360 from the LA bureau last night Anderson Cooper caught the red-eye to Washington, DC to co-anchor CNN's State Of The Union coverage.   Tomorrow night he's scheduled to be back in California (Cupertino) for a three night speaker's series.  Guess Mr. Cooper will be racking up the frequent flier miles!

Anderson Cooper Guest Co-Host on Live With Kelly & Michael on Thursday, January 15th

Anderson Cooper was guest co-host on Live With Kelly & Michael.  Hilarity broke out during host chat and ICYMI, the interview with Bradley Cooper was taped on Monday (prior to his academy award nomination this morning.)  While Anderson joked about a bet with Kelly in host chat not to mention the nomination to Bradley it was not to slight Bradley, but because the interview had been recorded prior to the nomination.  A lot of people were angry on Twitter and felt Anderson and Kelly were mean-spirited so Live was quick to post the interview was taped earlier in the week.
