Anderson Cooper 360 on Monday, June 8, 2015

Anderson Cooper anchored AC360 from the NYC studio.  Included in the program was an interview with Jonathan Fleming, an exonerated former Clinton Correctional inmate:

The program ended with Anderson showing a "behind the scenes" video of the taping of the CNN Quiz Show.  The CNN Quiz Show: 70's Edition aired immediately following AC360.  We will post the Quiz Show program tomorrow:

Monday's 360 was okay. It was great if you love crime & cop news. The prison break in upstate NY got three segments. In the first segment Anderson gave an overview and Randi Kaye had a report. Kaye's report looked exactly like the report Jason Carroll had on the Situatin Room earlier in the day; the only difference was Kaye was narrating the report on 360 whereas Carroll narrated the report earlier. Tangent: my local news station pixelated the Asian face on the "Have a Nice Day" note.

In the second segment Kaye profiled the two excaped murderers, David Sweat and Richard Matt. Then Anderson spoke to Robert Fernandez and another guy for more details.

The third segment started with Tom Foreman profiling the Clinton Correctional Facility, where Sweat and Matt escaped from. Anderson interviewed Jonathan Fleming, who used to be an inmate at Clinton until he was exoncerated. ATA has that clip on today's post.

After 34 minutes of the prison break story, next up was more news on the ISIS-inspired guy, Rahim, recently killed by police in Boston. Alexandra Field reported on the newly released video of Rahim and the police. This segment included a Bulletin.

More news on police using excessive force, this time at a pool party in McKinny TX a few days ago. Rick Valencia was on the scene of a protest taking place and filed a report of what happened earlier. Anderson talked to Harry Houck about the incident, some of which was videoed. I heard Houck say "...the officer loks out of control..." but didn't stay for the whole Q&A.

Last on the show was a promo for "CNN Quiz Show" coming up after 360. ATA posted that promo.

Tomorrow I want to see some news which isn't crime or cop related.
