Anderson Cooper 360 on Thursday, September 1, 2016

Anderson Cooper was back in the AC360 anchor chair in the NYC studio.

Looks like Anderson and Anthony Bourdain are filming some new promotions for Parts Unknown.  From Instagram today:

Here's the content of Thursday's one hour 360: Trump, Hurricane Hermine and promotion for other CNN programs.

I was three minutes late, a report was on about Trump's immigration speech, reactions, accounts from Mexican President Pena Neito and the wall. I didn't watch the panel but am guessing a chunk of it was about how Hispanic voters feel about Trump's speech. All five on 360's panel were non-Hispanic.
Joy Reid, Hayes' substitute, was covering the same topic but she was talking to Steve Cortes, a member of Trump's National Hispanic Council. Then she spoke with two women, one of whom was Hispanic.

Anderson made points in the second segment by interviewing Jorge Ramos but at the same time Reid was taking to Marco Gutierrez from Latinos for Trump and NY State Sen. Adriano Espaillet (D).

John King and the Magic Wall had half a segment. King went through polls, battleground states, electoral college numbers and the number of things that have to happen to make Trump win. The other part of the segment was another panel discussion.

Hurricane Hermine got a couple of minutes. Anderson talked to Jennifer Gray in Florida. Next was Gary Tuchman's report "Latino Voters React To Trump's Speech." Some of the eight were still behind Trump and the some that weren't included remarks that they weren't ready to vote for Hillary. "Clinton News Network" ???
The segment ended with a promo for CNN specials on Labor Day, one on Hillary followed by one on Trump. It looked like these were the same specials that aired the night before each convention.

The last segment was a promo/preview of "Holy Hell" coming up next.

Personally, a new season of Anthony Bourdain's show only means a new season of promos for him during 360. Should I look for the silver lining and at least be glad it's not more coverage of Trump?

Unless I missed it, there wasn't one Hillary Clinton segment on 360, it was all Trump. Since 360 wants to talk Trump, how about mentioning the penalty he paid to the IRS for donating $25,000 to a political committee backing Florida AG Pam Bondi (AC's had some dealings with her) and what about Trump using $55,000 of his campaign money to buy copies of his own book which might be going against some FEC rules? Shouldn't 360 get Drew Griffin on this? Nope, too busy trying to bring down the A rated Clinton Foundation.
